C & O Canal
Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historic Park, Little Orleans access, 1/4 mile from campground. Good for biking, hiking, horseback riding.

Potomac River
Separates Maryland and West Virginia, perfect for canoeing, kayaking, fishing, floating, located 1/4 mile from campground.

Paw Paw Tunnel
In the "Wonders of the World" databank, part of the National Park system.

Lock 56 Rentals

Nearest town with a full-service grocery store and other amenities.

Western Maryland Rail-Trail
Paved bicycle trail on old Western Maryland Railbed. It now extends 27 miles to Little Orleans, MD, and we are the western trailhead.  VERY NICE parking lot and now only 1/4 mile from campground.

Sideling Hill
Shows 850 vertical feet of a syncline formed nearly 350 million years ago.

East Coast Sturgis - East Coast Motorcycle Rally
Annual motorcycle event taking place adjacent to our campground the second week of August. Includes bands, games, runs, and vendors. Call 301-478-3421.

Green Ridge Horse Ranch

ATV Trail
Martin Hill Trail is located 30 minutes away in PA and is 18 miles long. Call Buchanan Forest headquarters at 717-485-3148 for details.

Great Allegheny Trail
The Great Allegheny Passage, is a 150-mile system of biking and hiking trails that connects Cumberland, MD and Pittsburgh, PA. In 2006, the southern end of the trail was completed, making the connection at Cumberland, MD to the C&O Canal towpath. This created a continuous trail experience, 320 miles long, from Duquesne, near Pittsburgh, to Washington, DC.

Rocky Gap Casino & Slots
Minutes away is located the Rocky Gap Resort, which has a beautiful Jack Nicklaus golf course open to the public, and was recently purchased by Lakes Entertainment. The Rocky Gap Casino has table games, slot machines, and five restaurants/bars.

Cumberland Theatre
The Cumberland Theatre is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization entirely owned and operated by its volunteer Board of Trustees. These members of the community dedicate invaluable time and resources to the funding and operating of the theatre. Other volunteers support the theatre by serving on various committees and by working as front of house staff. The plays presented showcase the area's best actors and are immensely enjoyable.
