Mar 30 Trout Season Opens
Apr 6 Youth Fishing Rodeo. Catch stocked trout and other fish at Fort Frederick's Beaver Pond. Open to children ages 15 and under. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Bring your own gear and bait. 301-842-2155. Pre-registration appreciated, but not required. Park entrance fee.
Apr 20 Easter Egg Decorating and Hunt
Apr 25-28 18th Century Market Fair at Ft. Frederick. The best artisans, craftspeople, and sutlers in an 18th century encampment. 9am to 5pm daily. Small fee.
May 4 Guided Bike Tour - Brilliant spring wildflowers brighten the journey as you learn about the flora and fauna along the Western Maryland Rail Trail. The guided bike ride is approximately 20 miles long roundtrip and is taken at a leisurely pace. C&O Bicycle Shop in Hancock at 10 am.You can now ride the Western MD Rail Trail the entire way to Hancock and beyond from the Little Orleans Trailhead! OPEN NOW ¼ mile from Little Orleans Campground!
